CodeBaby® Mission and History

Many companies get lots of website visitors, but are missing critical revenue opportunities and wasting money if these visitors fail to "get the point" and act on critical calls-to-action.

CodeBaby delivers Software as a Service (SaaS) technology that meets this challenge by engaging a client’s website visitors with custom, animated, proprietary digital characters who guide prospects and customers through critical action paths designed to increase online conversions at a lower cost. CodeBaby Conversations are aimed at points of predictable emotional escalation. These are points where customers are more receptive, but also "moments of truth" where the customer relationship is at stake.

With CodeBaby, engaged visitors will complete more forms, buy more products, register for more offers, self-resolve more service issues, and sign up for more memberships and services. CodeBaby improves the ratio of visitors to desired actions, saving our clients money and improving revenue and profitability.

History of a Digital Character Software Company

In 2001, CodeBaby was founded as a think tank project in Edmonton, Alberta by Dr. Ray Muzyka and Dr. Greg Zeschuk, Co-Founder/Co-CEO’s of a leading gaming software company, Bioware (now part of Electronic Arts). The premise of the two founders was simple – that the highly realistic, emotionally engaging characters they had perfected in the gaming space could boost conversions, and cut costs.

In 2008, the company moved its sales, marketing and operations teams to Colorado Springs, Colorado. The product development and engineering functions remain in Edmonton.

CodeBaby continues to improve results for its clients with a veteran management team led by a group of experienced internet technology veterans. Our leadership team brings years of emerging growth, a passion for digitally engaging technology, and innovative ideas to further CodeBaby’s goal of continually improving the online customer experience.

At CodeBaby, we believe that innovation occurs at all levels: our product, our people, and our culture. We fuse the edgy and innovative with traditional business smarts to create a fun, fast-paced, and challenging work environment.
